What we process and why

Age range and family privacy

The version with the age-range prompt asks you to choose a range without a preselected answer. You can choose not to disclose it. Only the range is stored on your device; your date of birth is not requested, and this choice is not sent to our game server or used for marketing. Advertising is disabled for players under 18 and for an unspecified age. The advertising SDK is not initialized for ad serving for those groups. Adults may be shown Google’s privacy choices before ad requests. Please update to this version before a child uses an older internal test build.

Ads and your privacy choices

The Google Play version includes Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) and Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP). Internal test builds use Google's test ads. Test ads do not remove the need to handle privacy correctly.

When advertising is enabled for an adult, Google's advertising SDK can collect and share IP addresses, approximate location inferred from IP, app-set and other permitted device identifiers, app interactions and diagnostic information. Android advertising ID permission and Android ad-services identifier permissions are removed in the version with the age-range prompt. All ad requests in that version use a general-audience content rating. Google uses these for advertising, measurement, service operation and fraud prevention. The data processed depends on your device, region, consent and ad settings. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

Where required, Google's privacy form asks for your choices. You can reopen the form through Settings → Ad privacy options when Google requires this entry for your current privacy status. When the entry is unavailable, Settings explains whether a check is still running, could not be completed or is not required. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in Android's privacy settings.

Declining optional advertising consent does not delete your game progress. We do not send your guest credential, saved puzzle content or support email text to advertisers. Reward verification uses a separate, single-use reference rather than your guest credential.

Who receives information

Our hosting and infrastructure providers, including Amazon Web Services, process game service data for us. Google processes information through its advertising and privacy services as described above. We may disclose information when legally required or necessary to protect users and the service. We do not sell your game saves or support messages.

Game services and providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Their location may differ from yours.

Storage and security

Account and gameplay records are kept while needed to provide your account, maintain progress and protect the service, unless you request deletion. Local preferences and guest credentials remain on your device until removed through Android's app-data controls or uninstallation; removing local data does not by itself delete records on our servers.

Verified deletion requests cover the account and associated gameplay/profile data. Limited records may be retained where genuinely necessary for legal obligations, security or fraud prevention. If an exception applies to your request, we will explain the data, reason and applicable retention period. Restricted backups are not used to reactivate a deleted account.

Connections to the game service use HTTPS. Access to service data is restricted, but no system can guarantee absolute security. Do not share your guest credential file or login secrets.

Your rights and deletion

You can request access, correction or deletion of your information, and raise privacy concerns, at info@hoo.coffee. Other rights, including objection, restriction, withdrawal of consent or a complaint to a supervisory authority, may apply where you live.

Use Settings → Delete account or the public account and data deletion page. You can submit a request even if you have uninstalled the game. We verify ownership before making an irreversible change. Deletion removes your account and associated progress; it is not a pause or an account ban.

Children and parents

The game is intended for children and adults. We do not ask players to provide a real name, complete birth date, contact list, personal photo or email address to play. Children should not put a real name or contact details in a public nickname. Game account identifiers are used to provide saved progress, security and other internal game operations, rather than to profile a child for advertising. A parent or guardian can ask to review, correct or delete a child’s game information and request that we stop further collection associated with that account. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact info@hoo.coffee so we can investigate and handle a deletion request. Advertising and consent handling must follow the age and region requirements applicable to the released version.

Website privacy and changes

Our website's optional analytics, test invitation requests and mailing list are covered by the separate HOO website privacy notice. Installing or playing the game does not subscribe you to marketing email.

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the effective date. Material changes requiring a new choice will be presented through the appropriate game or consent flow.
